The day care center

The “Kinderkrippe Sternenfee” in Pfälzer-Wald-Straße 68 was founded in November 2009 for 24 children from 6 months to 3 years. At the request of many parents and the staff, the facility was expanded in February 2013 in the adjacent building by 36 kindergarten places and the “Kindergarten Sternenfee” was founded. In January 2017, we opened a daycare center within walking distance at Balanstrasse 99 with 22 daycare places for children from 6 months to 3 years.

In the Kitas Sternenfee you have the opportunity to have the children cared for from the sixth month of life until they start school.

We work closely with the City of Munich, which is our first point of contact in all matters. Since January 2017, we have been participating in the “Münchner Förderformel” with our daycare centers. Like all municipal facilities, we are also bound by the Bavarian Education Plan (BEP) and the Bavarian Child Education and Care Act (BayKiBig).

The groups are mixed in age and gender in both the nurseries and the kindergarten. In all facilities, we care for the children in multiple languages:

Crèche: German, French and Spanish

Kindergarten: German and French

The foreign languages are taught exclusively by pedagogical native speakers.

We achieve high-quality early childhood development through a highly qualified and exceptionally committed team and an above-average childcare ratio. The team consists exclusively of pedagogical specialists and supplementary staff. These are educators and child care workers. In addition, there are our hard-working interns.

We enter into an educational partnership with parents that is characterised by respect and tolerance in order to jointly develop and promote the children’s competencies. The focus is always on the child. We create an atmosphere of trust through intensive familiarisation, parental involvement and transparency in our daily work.

Our facility works according to the Education and Childcare Plan (BEP) in accordance with the Bavarian Child Education and Childcare Act (BayKiBiG) and the Regulation for the Implementation of the Bavarian Child Education and Childcare Act (AVBayKiBiG). Our facilities are recognized and funded by the City of Munich and the Free State of Bavaria.
